WELCOME TO GRACIE BARRA NEWTOWN
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense and fitness classes for kids, teens, adults and women in Newtown, Bucks County.
GRACIE BARRA Newtown, Pennsylvania
Gracie Barra Newtown is a Jiu-Jitsu School at 105 Terry Dr, Suite 117, built for the families and working adults of Bucks County. Our students come from Newtown, Yardley, Langhorne, Richboro, Holland, Churchville, Southampton, Feasterville-Trevose, Levittown and Washington Crossing. Kids, teens and adults, beginners and experienced students, all train together as one community under the same Gracie Barra curriculum.
Our Chief Instructor, Professor John Wilpert, has trained in Jiu-Jitsu for 15 years, all of it under Professor Ricardo Almeida, who oversees the School as Regional Chief Instructor. Professor John leads a team that includes Coach Mike Gonzalez, Coach Stacy Gonzalez, Coach Nathan Espinosa and Program Director Michelle Wilpert. Come meet them at a free trial class.
Our Purpose
We exist to build people up through Jiu-Jitsu and create a community where everyone belongs. We teach Jiu-Jitsu, build meaningful connections and mentor people of all ages so they can grow stronger, live with confidence and positively impact others.
Three pillars guide everything we do:
- Safety. We create a physically and emotionally safe place where people can learn, struggle and grow. Students are treated with dignity, training partners protect one another, individual boundaries are respected, and mistakes can be made without embarrassment or fear.
- Connection. We make sure people feel known, welcomed and part of something larger than themselves. We notice people, check in, include those on the outside and build relationships that go beyond a class.
- Mentorship. We see what is possible in people, believe in their potential and help them grow into it. We invest personally in each student, help them recognize their progress and guide their development on and off the mats.
We believe in people, often before they believe in themselves.
